An In-Depth Guide to Coach Bags
Coach was established in 1941 producing men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags arrived later before growing into the heart of the brand. Now, coach handbags range from structured shoulder bags and relaxed hobos to satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues. Each and every major line is examined in turn below, with a look at what the bag is, when it first appeared and how it is constructed. A number of familiar lines have no reliable launch year on record, so launch dates appear in this guide only where they are documented.
All prices are observed market prices from 2026 rather than figures from an official price list, and they shift with size, material and promotions. If you are choosing your first coach bag, it is smart to know that similar names can belong to wholly different designs. When searching for a Coach bag, certain shoppers type “couch bag” by mistake, and because that word also refers to a sofa, furniture listings can appear in the results.
The Tabby
Carrying detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby is a neatly structured shoulder bag which can be worn crossbody too. Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019, modeling it on a shape from Coach’s 1970s archive. The campaign behind its launch, titled “Dream It Real”, was reportedly shot by Juergen Teller. The main product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag, and sizes 20, 26 and 36 have been offered.
Names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting identify the puffy Pillow Tabby, which followed in 2021. The Tabby 26 had an observed price of $475 in the US and £475 in the UK; quilted and special-edition versions cost more. The easy switch between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it a strong choice for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
The Brooklyn Line
Far closer to a hobo than to the www.couch-clothing.com structured Tabby, the Brooklyn is a slouchy coach shoulder bag crafted in natural-grain leather. It was shown on the Fall 2024 runway and was launched in August 2024. Two main sizes have been reported, the Brooklyn 28 and the roomier Brooklyn 39. Described as spacious enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 works as a practical work bag.
Not to be confused with the shoulder styles, a newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026. The Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 at John Lewis for UK shoppers. The Brooklyn was among the bags named after The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had climbed 160%. The figure, it should be noted, measures searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue
The structured satchel in Coach’s range is the Rogue, fitted with top handles and a shoulder strap. After its debut on the Fall 2016 runway, it was discontinued for a time before coming back in a 2021 relaunch. At the very top of Coach’s leather range, the line offers versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. The steepest Coach bag price observed in 2026 belonged to a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.
As reported, a Made-to-Order Rogue from Coach has taken about 12 weeks, stretching to about 16 weeks when exotic materials are used. By way of Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also surfaced. For many collectors, the Rogue illustrates how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall Family
Offered as the Empire Carryall Bag 34, the Empire Carryall is a lengthened, east-west top-handle bag. It was shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway and released in February 2025. Fashion press reported that it was sold out on its release day. The structured Carryall 34 differs from softer variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40.
The Empire Carryall 34 had an observed price of £475 on Coach’s own website in the UK. For everyday carrying, that long top-handle shape offers a more polished alternative to a coach tote bag. When comparing listings, check the number that follows the name: 34 and 40 are different bags.

The Kisslock Names: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Kisslock is the name of a frame clasp inspired by vintage coin purses, a motif Coach links to the Bonnie Cashin era. Be careful not to confuse the several bags that share the term. Reportedly the opening look of the Fall 2026 show, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was observed at $350. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also show up in listings, so the family may predate that show.
Now, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 appears mainly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved; it is an older style made with quilted nappa leather and rivets. Based on a 1973 design, the Kisslock Barrel Bag arrived as a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue. Adding yet another use of the name, a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.
Swinger and Swing Zip: A Look at The Coach Originals
Bags from The Coach Originals are new rather than vintage: the line is made up of newly made reissues of archive designs. A zip-top, short-strap shoulder bag featuring a turnlock, the Swinger is based on an original design Coach dates to 1987. Also offered With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard, the Swinger Bag 20 is today’s version. The two names should not be swapped: the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, modeled on a 1998 design.
Reports from early 2025 listed other Originals including the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. It has been reported that the Coach Originals name was already being used by 2020. The line fits buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a properly vintage piece.
Soho Sorted: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Since it covers three different products, Soho is one of the trickiest names in the Coach catalog. The original Soho Flap dates from 2006. The Soho Bag 25 is not that 2006 bag but a newer, smaller reissue offered in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. Soho styles belong to The Coach Originals, and a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also appeared in listings.
The Soho Sneaker, by contrast, is footwear that Coach has highlighted in 2025 and 2026, so it sits with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. A search that includes “Bag 25” or “Flap” tends to separate the bags from the shoe. As no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, consult Coach’s own website before buying.
The Willow, Cassie and Juliet Lines
None of these three lines has a documented launch year, recognizable as they are, so be wary of any date you see online. The Willow Tote 24, a Willow Shoulder bag and a Willow Bucket have all appeared in Willow, a pebble-leather family. A Custom Willow Tote has also appeared on Coach’s own website; the Willow Tote 24, by comparison, is a straightforward example of a coach tote bag. Offering a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 is one example of Cassie, a design that spans crossbody and top-handle styles.
Cassie styles have stayed listed on Coach’s own website under newer style codes. Sold in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a soft, slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Because availability changes by season, verify whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before relying on an older review.
Observed Prices: Each Line at a Glance
In the table below, the main lines appear together with their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. A bag’s size, material, color and promotions all affect these prices, which are observed market prices instead of an official Coach price list. US prices exclude sales tax, but UK prices include VAT. A coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles, whereas full-price styles may be marked down during sales.
Operated as Coach’s own official channel, Coach Outlet operates through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. In 2014, Coach’s head of investor relations was quoted as saying roughly 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. That number should be read as dated; Tapestry has in the meantime discussed bringing some full-price collection product into outlets. Current-season lines are available at a full-price coach store or on Coach’s own website.
